We’re halfway through 2024, and it’s the perfect time to revisit our financial goals. Whether you’ve been diligently tracking your progress or need a fresh start, let’s take a moment to set clear and achievable financial goals for the rest of the year.

Financial goals give us direction and purpose. They help us prioritize our spending, save for future needs, and avoid unnecessary debt. Plus, achieving even the smallest financial goal can be incredibly satisfying!

I always say it’s best to take time to figure out what you want to achieve (and why), how much that would cost, and by when. Kapag nakalatag kasi na malinaw yung goals mo, it’s easier to make sound financial decisions in terms of budgeting, saving, managing debts, and investing.

1. Review Your Current Financial Status: Start by evaluating your income, expenses, savings, and debts. Knowing where you stand is the first step to planning where you want to go.

2. Identify Your Priorities: What matters most to you right now? Is it building an emergency fund, saving for a vacation, or starting a side hustle? Define your top financial priorities.

3.Set Specific, Measurable Goals: Instead of saying “I want to save more,” set a specific target like “I will save ₱10,000 by the end of September.”

4. Create a Plan: Break down your goals into manageable steps. For example, to save ₱10,000, you could set aside ₱1,250 each week.

5. Monitor Your Progress: Keep track of your progress regularly. Adjust your plan as needed and celebrate your wins, big or small.
