Nabasa ko itong tanong na 'to sa Threads. It got me reflecting on my own journey to reach that milestone. I know it can feel overwhelming at first, but I want to share some simple and practical tips that helped me achieve it, hoping they'll inspire and guide you, too.

So kung hindi ka pa nakaipon ng first 100k mo, here's how you can start building your savings and set yourself up for financial success:

The first step is understanding where my money goes. For a month, I listed down ALL my expenses, just so I get a clear picture of where my money went and where I could cut back.

TIP: I recommend using the Money Manager app. You can do this every night so it won’t pile up and overwhelm you.

What helped me more was putting my savings on autopilot.

I opened a separate bank account for my savings and scheduled money transfers from my main bank account to this new account. This gives me peace of mind that my financial goals are on track without necessarily paying much attention to them.

Surprisingly, kinakaya naman to live within my means.

Yes, cutting your budget to save is great and all, BUT I believe making more money is great too. Extra income is always a great idea.

At one point, sobrang OA ng hustle hard ko:

• had 1 full-time + 2 part-time gigs as a transcriber, social media manager, and project manager (I built a team to help with the workload).

• worked as a tutor and lecturer for a review center

• plus I was taking classes for my Master in Business Management degree

• and I took mga free short courses during my free time to upskill and makapag-increase ng rates

Habang bata pa and kaya pa ng energy, go lang. 😉
